i have a small random one, think the plastic goes brittle, sunny all day then freezes at night might cause it

not ever had it happen but the above maybe a valid point fast expand and shrink may have caused .

seen reports of this on loads of other bike forums ect 2 hours in sun then they just crack or shatter . some bike more than others

Can you get into them o.k then? as my clocks faces are looking dated and fading, and also has that crazy crackled glazing on it too, would be good if you can replace the glass/perspex and faces.

So you can get into these then, they aren't a sealed/glued unit?

I can see you've got into yours Toy, did you just get a screwdriver and prise it open then?

Cheers Norfe, btw Toy, you need to change your ignition mate, I notice you've got your bike turned on without the key in it, I'll bet any tom, dick n harry can start your bike with a worn key.

Fixed it! biggrin There was a very thin single thread of wire coming up from the little coil that sits below the temp gauge that had snapped off its solder point. Re soldered it and jobs a gooden! :)
