any one know if the  CBT  is sroed on police check computers yet ?

I am needing to retake at some point ...

but know couple of years ago it was not stored on computer so police could not check if you had done it or not .

so was easy just to get online 3rd party only insurance and ride without worry and without a cbt ?

it kinda becomes a pain doing it in most cases just to put a £500 bike on the road for running around .

yeah I had 2 producers in past and each time they didnt ask for it he he .

its not the money or even the cbt its the fact I have been rideing for over 20 years and still have to take it every two years like I am going to forget how to ride . takes piss its just another gov stealth tax on us guys ..
and if I can avoid paying it I will would rather pay the fine for not haveing it

why not take your test with 20 years experience you should smash it and if you ever want a full licence do it now befor it changes and becomes stupid

yeah suppose your right .

thought about the full test loads of times but keep putting it off . but supose it has to be done at some point

but if I pass my full test I will not be able to use my joke at drivers anymore ?

like when a mate who drives a car says...your stupid rideing on L you should pass your test and get a 1100cc

my come back is yeah your right .oh why you driveing a girly 1.6 you should be driveing a mans car with a 4.0 engine

then they say but this is cheap on fuel /insurance ect ....yeah so is a fcking 125 on L.s you muppet lol

+1 It does come up as I`m sure you all aware the police have database links to DVLA aswell as Insurance companies which hold all licence details CBT`s when your successful in passing a CBT  Driving Tests etc you are given a top copy the duplicate copy are forwarded on to DVLA who are responsible for updateing & amending licences for penalty points endorsements and revoked licences accordingly via the courts. Also I have famo in the force who can confirm this.

yeah insurance companys couldnt realy give a toss if you passed or not as long as they get paid ..and know for sure that if you had to claim they would be safe as the policy would be void ..

also ralzy I am with the others to think its not yet on the database as in most cases when you pass a cbt you get a peice of paper there and then one for them one for you also they say that if you lose it you will have to contact them for a new one and not the dvla ?

I also have mates who have never had a cbt and riden for years ... if this was on the police computer then it would red flag any camera car ect ..

MDK trust me they do hold your CBT if I was to ring up the DVLA and ask about my CBT they will have the CBT number and the date I had passed. The one thing I will say is DVLA are not always as quick to update their systems longest I`ve ever known is 22 months. And as for flags with cameras etc these are only flagged up on cars bikes with markers against them.

not totaly true a police car with cam/ANPR instantly knows if you have no licence /mot/tax/insurance as they show up red on the screen ? but have no idea if you have passed or have a valid cbt . as most who have had a pull know they sometimes ask you or sometimes dont ask as they feel you must have one to have insurance ect .

a car dosnt need to have a marker on it they just auto see on screen what it is missing upon the camera checking its details .

think my last pull over was 3 years ago and I had to go produce docs at police station and no one ever asked about cbt cert as I didnt have one at the time ?
also the copper in the car did a thoura check I iknow this as the police cammera action type film crew was with him at the time . they did film me but said it may never make tv as I was all legal and didnt run away ect.

so unless some one can say for sure its recorded on the system ?

I've been pulled many times (Routine, so they say...) and they asked whether or not I've got insurance. Have I got a license. And that is about it. Also Why haven't I got L Plates but I have been very fortunate for them to give me a slap on the wrist.

I want to get off this subject because I know I'm going to jynx this all up. Been fine for ages and guaranteed now that when I go out next I get pulled and BANGED UP FOR LIFE!! LOL

I just re did mine two weeks ago, the instructor guy said that it's all on paper copies and filed away, even had some guy trying to get his back from the DVLA storage cabinets so he could produce it to the police because he forgot his.

So unless he was bull****ting it isn't on the computers yet.. could be wrong

On my second one the instructor just took us to KFC for a couple of hours so when we got back to guy in charge thought we had been out for the required time, and on the last straight he absolutely ragged his ninja, I am not even kidding if I learnt anything on the day it was how to ride like a dick!

Although my insurance asked me to photocopy my licence and CBT to them.

Unless you have to produce to the cop shop I would say it's impossible to get caught - but then they may just ask to produce to make sure.

Haha my mate ran out of fuel as well, just a load of fail really

Didn't mind the day, even with crap weather it was a laugh but would rather my bank wasn't £125 shorter... especially every two years only other option is to do the big bike test which costs even more - loose loose situation really.
