problem is you will end up with some parts left i dont think the headlight will sell for £70 and any parts left is money out of that £300 extra and all the time and effet sending parts out id rather just sell as hole and you should get £1300 for that no problems

total £1540 if calculated it correct take away the postage cost messing around phone calls back an forth with buyers packaging ebay costs and charges the lisy go,s on and in the end you may only sel 50% of the bike and be stuck with half a bike for ages .

be realistic with your priceing and it should sell as a full bike . most buyers check ebay for like for like prices troll the dtrs on ebay and ask your self is mine better than that or worth more or less ..

yeah there is loads for sale at 1300 but the fact is they have been on for ages and unsold unless realy great looking bikes and most know you can buy a dtr for under or around the £650 mark on the road

I think all the prices you have put for parts are realy the top end prices I for one know I could half every one of those prices

this advert says it all imagine the bike you could make out of the two for £750 ?

to compete with othere sellers u have to give stuff away really

theres only a few items that can make abit of money

carbs

calipers

frame

wiring looms

wheels (in good nick)

all the rest of stuff its just chancing it will go

with me it dunt matter as its all just stuff in my garage i not in no rush to sell at all it goes when it goes

where as if ur some one wanting to sell for quick cash its not the best idea

plus like sed b4 all the hassle from posting and packing, buying bubble wrap, tape ebay fees paypal fees its not very efficiant  for most, if u cud shift it in 1 do it iv chucked all sorts in the last few weeks that just dont sell smile

Hmm, £100 for the wheels. That's rich ain't it! I think you really ought to underprice things to get an idea of how much you will make. I'd say it's worth £900-£1100 to sell as a bike. Lots of your pricing seems a little high for what it is.

I break cars for a living, it's already been said loads of parts never sell, people messing you around and then postage charges + lost items. The only reason you should break it is if you can get well over £600 / £1000 more than if you sold it at as whole. Really doesn't look worth it to me.

Thats only reason I was thinking of breaking it as can post stuff through work cheaply and not in a great rush to get rid prices were rough estimates using ebays completed listings its just the fees that are a killer. Would rather not break it as would be 1 less decent one on the road

U may say that. However almost everything on this bike is of a 06 or 07 reg dtre apart from plastics and frame so most is in very good condition

I agree with this as we more than others know we could and do get most parts at half the above prices.

in my opinion  wait till summer realy comes prices and buyers are better .  and remove those monster engy stickers . ? I for one auto dissmiss  bikes with them on makes me think raped-abused -engine -teenage-chav{sorry}- pitbike wana be ect ect  { sorry to anyone with monster engy stickers }

also the dtr prices have  been good since the fuel price rise
