and no not the dog, im an animal lover so that wouldnt be nice now would it haha
No, instead i found i had a fairly local Husqvarna dealer and he had in stock the 4 stroke 125 sm and the 2 stroke 125 off roader.
So i got to see the engine and general layout of the 2 sroke model and i got to sit on the sm version for size
What a cracking bike, first impressions... lokks good its what my old yamaha wr should have been. black rims and silever spokes, high ground clearance and a proper offroad style side stand that tucks right up out the way.
So now im sat thinking hmmmm do i love my rs enough or is it chop in time! id pull off the fp parts of the rs and flog them on to fund the dep etc for the husy fp kit
Huskys are one of my all time favourite bikes. The earilier models have less restrictors like all bikes nowadays, i've seen people running a 38mm-40mm TMX carb, vforce3reeds, VHM cylinder, ported, polished etc...They're a lot lighter than the DT/RS in weight aswell. Performance wise once you've tuned them you can get the same power as the superteen euro bikes i.e; ktm 125, tm 125, honda hm 125, husa 125, caballero fanatic 125.
look at captain organised eh! i agree with petrol head, get the test done and get a bigger one, don't expect it to be anywhere near as reliable as the DT tho!
Ofc petrol is right, just the euro dudes have different circumstances to us guys over here so most of the teenagers buy one of the superteen bikes i listed because for a 125 they're fast as fu** most of them will top out at 100 and get there stupidly fast but as said, if you want something beefier get your test done, if i ever had one of these bikes it'd be for a weekend blast to hit the lanes :p
I have a yellow and blue 2003 husky wre 125 and i have say its a nice bike mines standard at the moment but i have seen a derestriction kit on ebay. I also struggle to touch the ground when sat on it. It sounds lovely even with the standard pipe on it. If you ever thought a dtr was uncomfortable the husky is much worse i can do around 30 miles on the dtr before i get the numb arse syndrome on the husky its around half that
my mate has a 2002 husky 250 yellow and blue and its taller feels lighter and the seat is skinnyer lmoa looking down its like your rideing a bannana haha
Nice bikes though i,m only using mine for messing around on the green lanes around here and short road trips i will still use the dtr for most of my road riding though.

Thats exactly why i bought mine good for a mess about on weekends but my dtr for everything else
