I've read somewhere about distances apart etc... Will try and look it up.. We're they fixed or portable?? If portable, we're there any signs up a before the traps?? We're they visable to you??

Could be worth looking into it further!!!

its 6 points and a £120 fine or i can take this speed awearness thing so its 3 points £140 fine but allso this couse so i dont get the outher 3 points =[ and coastie thats what i was thinking surely thats to close and i might appeal and say i should only get 1 fixed notice as if police followed me for 5 mins and pulled me they would only do me for the maximum speed i was doing not a new ticket evry 1 min =[

Ive done the awareness course mate, worth it as it saves you getting points and it doesnt affect your insurance, but n your case youd still take 3 points frm the second ticket. Bummer man

it was 2 of them ****s who hide behind bushes or walls =[ im hopeing i can get them put together as one offence someone i know did the same and got 4 points and £100 fine then kept his offer for the course so if he gets anoymore so im hopeing i can do the same

actually, im told if you do the speed awareness and then get another speeding offence within a period of time you still get the original 3 points from the course, now i dont know if you can take the first 3 points and then take the course for the second 3, thus you only get 3

if you take the course and pay the fine you may find u get all 6 points and pay for the course lol

Hey man that sucks arse Get it reduced to one then do the corse, best outcome in the end Or go to the station and ask for the calibration reports for that day so you have proof the old wangers had there equip checked over first Hope this helps man Ps I got a book somewhere that's full of loopholes in th law,I'll see if I can find anything out All the best

That's definately not true, at least it isn't where I live and isn't for any of my friends who have done it and got tickets after.

If you get 3 points and a fine and get a speed awareness course you pay for and attend the course - that complete ticket is completely ripped up and off the books there is no way they can bring it back up.

However you can only be offered one once a year, so if you get another 3 points you would not be offered the course and have the first 3 points on your licence.

If it got offered here it would work like having the awareness course for the first ticket and the second ticket paid and 3 points.

If you think it's actually the same coppers I definately would contest it, but don't they just offer you the choice to go to court with the 'the punishment could be even worse if you loose' sort of bull****? Not surprising most people just give in and pay.

This here awareness course, do you get it offered or do you have to apply? my youngest daughter passed her car test a few weeks ago, and was caught doing 37 in a 30, unbuilt up area, £60 fine and 3 points.

You get a letter first asking you to admit then when you do they may or may not offer it you - no harm in just putting a cover letter when sending it back explaining if you haven't been on the road for long etc / making up some crap

I got pulled for speeding and ended up with 3 points (on my DT as it so happens) and insurance didn't go up 1p, well not on the comparison sites.

Plus I think it depends on the speed they were doing, I got caught doing 44mph in a 30mph zone and I enquired about doing the course as my aunt had done it like 2 weeks prior and they said I was going too fast. I *think* they said anything over 39mph and you can't do the course it's gotta be points and fine

Depends on where you are, max I've ever heard was around 40 in a 30 and it was allowed but some countys could only allow 36 or something

good shout, just googled it and after some time found it to be a myth.

strange as both my brother and sister where told this was the case, one of them by a police officer.

it also says you cannot do another course for 3 years.

the price is rather bad, it varies by where you are. my sister was charged £80, my younger brother paid £120

depends wear you are the what happend if you got pulled buy a police officer then i dont think you even get offerd if you get done by a speed camera it depends and you cant take it for 3 years again that is true the prices do vary on wear you are in london it cost my grandad £100 and in sussex wear i got caught is £85 so i think a trip to suxxes is dew lol as it all depends on the price of the rent of the office space

Lol. Can't have too many section 59's in one year. Apparently when I had my aprilia I was racing a car. Sorry Mr officer but It's a fúcking 50cc. If it was a race wouldn't the car be in front? Such bull. But yeah he told me if i get another one then the bike will be taken off me. lol.

Oh and isn't a section 59 one of those warnings you get for off-roading? If it is you can get as many as you want, just after the initial warning (lasts 12 months) they impound your bike and you have to pay so much admin charges and an extra amount for each day it's stored

A ladd I know got pulled on his brand new crosser, when he went to pick it up from the storage it was damaged so ended up prosecuting the police or whoever stored it and got some money back haha

yr i got a speed lol and section 59s u the bike and you can get 2 so if im on the dt and i get one then i swap to my ts and get anuther they will take my ts and crush it and if my bike has one and someone else gets 1 on my bike they will take my bike and crush it =[
