So heres 2 more vids of me trying to wheelie, im definetly getting better.
The road ends right behind the camera, So i really have no more room than this
On one of the vids im trying to pull a wheelie in the third gear, but there really isnt enough room on that road. Cant drive that fast and wheelie at the same time there xD
I actually managed to change gears while wheelieng today, from 2-3. Held it going for pretty long. was the first time i got it right and good. Gonna practice some more tomorrow, and maybe upload another vid with gear changing wheelies, Felt damn good to get it right, pulled it up in 2nd, And then shifted up without the clutch, And then just balancing on the edge of flipping over a coupple of times before i let the front wheel down xD
So fun when you just pull the throttle and you feel that your right on the spot where your bike is in total balance, Then letting the throttle go and when you feel your front wheel going down just giving some throttle again and go right back up to the spot of balance :D
Hope the weather is good tomorrow, then im gonna go practicing some more wheelies :D
Was out practicing right now, And i really feel like im getting the hang of it, gonna put u a vid later, not shure when its coming, gotta practice some more first.
I learned to use the rear brake so i dont flip. Had to use it 3 times when i was out practicing now. Had the front wheel up too high before i changed to third and then it just fell backwards. i never used the rear brake while wheelieng before, but it just came like a reaction to press the brake, fortunately.
practice makes perfect mate! learning on a 2 stroke is gunna make life so much easier if you upgrade to a 4 stroke as they are so smooth, especially the fuel injected bikes!
Haha ^^, i tried going from 2-3 and then to 4th gear today. Had a really great wheelie going. But i changed to 4th too early so i didnt have enough power to hold it up after i got into 4th.
Was still awesome though.
I love the feeling when i get it right, But hate the feeling when i almost flip : /
Hahaha, Yeaah xD. The first wheelie i tried this morning. I just got up from bed and brushed my teeth then went out to wheelie, wasnt quiet awake yet, And then just tried wheelieng and when i changed to 3rd i was damn close to flipping. Had 1 foot on the ground just out of reaction but fortunately i had the other foot still on the rear brake xD. Got a bit scared after that so havent been able to really go for it at all today xD.
Gonna try some more tonight tough. Just gotta go for it and trust that my reactions are fast enough to push the brake in case im about to flip xD
Lol xD, Earlier today i tried my friends Polaris predator 500, really fun little thing :D, Tried to pull a wheelie with it, but i never ever wheelied with a 4 wheeler before, But i actually managed to clutch it up and hold it up for a few secconds.
But then since i am not used to a 4 wheeler i was unshure where the point of balance was, and clearly i was over it, because when i let go the throttle the front didnt go down, got me nervous for a sec but then i pulled the rear brake and everything was fine, Didnt feel to good for the shocks though xD
Damn it, today i have been pulling rotten wheelies all day... I have been doing some decent ones. But the last coupple of days i have had this "Whoa" feeling, like i havent done that before. But today i havent learnt anything new. Still cant manage to put it into 4th gear.
But i did overtake my girlfriends car while wheelieng, Wasnt that high speed. but was still fun ^^
Good practise on mountain bike bud! I learnt on my old 4 stroke derbi senda 125, perfect for learning to clutch it up so when i do wheelies on my rm i try to clutch other than power so its not as aggresive, only thing is on our off roaders like u say you sh1t yourself cause the power is that brutal lol
What do you call a mountain bike ? :P Do you mean one of those bikes you pedal with your feet ? xD.
Still, i guess its with wheelies like its with everything else, At the start you learn alot and progress fast. And then you progress slower and slower. Im shure im gonna be practicing some every day. Since i usually just pull a wheelie when theres no cars around etc. when im out just driving. So lets hope im gonna get better soon. If i dont get much better anytime soon. Im just gonna put up a vid of how good im doing so far anyways, Then later when i get it into the 4th gear or manage to hold it at a steady speed in 3rd ill put up a new one
The hard thing is right when you shift from 2nd to third. If your a coward your not gonna pull it high enough so the front wheel goes down when you shift. Or if you get it right you, well you get it right. Or you can have too much rpm and front wheel too high and almost flip around when you shift.
I rarely got the shift right today. And when i did. The ground was uneven so i lost balance sideways. Or i couldnt manage to change into 4th when i had to cause i finnished 3rd...
But the day hasnt passed yet, Im at my girlfriends house atm. and im proboably gonna pull a couple of wheelies on my way home.
And yeah the clock is proboably ticking untill i flip. There has been alot of close calls, But i have always managed to kick down the rear brake. And ive learnt not to let my feet go away from the bike.
ive seen alot of youtube videos, and it doesent seem like i first tought. You dont actually flip over. But if your too late on the brake. Or an idiot and doesent let the throttle go after your gone over the edge. Your gonna flip. Aslong as you dont pull the throttle over the edge. And keep your foot at the brake. I should be fine. I guess. But everyone whos good at wheelies has proboably flipped a coupple of times. So im shure im not gonna be an exeption.
Now im home, Did a coupple of wheelies, Im shure my license plate couldnt have been far away from the ground on that last wheelie, Felt awesome :D
But my reactions are fast when it comes to braking, But when stuff like that happends and i get a bit too far up with the front. I never react fast enough to pull the throttle again once it has dropped a bit, I always let it fall all the way down..
Today i managed to get it into 4th, i was like " YEAAAAAAAH !!! " was awesome, was able to drive really far once i got it into 4th. But there was a car ahead of me, And i cought up to him so i had to let the throttle go so i didnt crash into hes ass.
Was still a long and awesome wheelie. The best i have done so far.
But its raining and the weather is bad today so i dont think i will get you a movie today either. And my tire is really messed up, you can see the threads underneath the rubber. Dont know how much more i dare driving with it. A new tire is coming on friday tough.
but if the weather is nice tomorrow i will try getting it into 4th again and movie taping it for you. Even tough my rear tire is really worn out..
