Im assuming it will need a re bore...cant buy piston till i know what size to buy. its driving me nuts...if i had the parts here i could get it all sorted by this eve, but i cant and its driving me fúcking nuts!! any ideas...?

Pfft it's a toughey.

Personally I wouldn't bother getting it rebored to oversize.

If it must, and there is a point where it needs to be, I would rebore it and have it plated back up. It's just too much hassle otherwise. You would have to bore the gasket. Bore the YPVS so it doesn't hit the rings.

buy some digital calipers u cans service or maintain any bike or engine without any

iv got some simlar to these

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Electronic-Digital-Caliper-/120921121495?pt=UK_Measuring_Tools_Levels&hash=item1c2775e2d7#ht_500wt_1202

unles the bore has bad verticle scouring in it it will be fine with a re-ring

how do u mean the rings went? broke up or stuck in?

always measure the bore at the bottom of the cylinder in a criss cross way

the rings wear a groove in the top of the cylinder for about 6mm from the top

unless u have a bore dial guage to handconfuse

dont even entertain having it plated, 1 little nip up and its 125 down the drain

thats the good thing about these barrels there not plated and have a good few over sizes to go for smile
