Well every now and again some things just have to be done and today was one of them days time to take the big bike out for a run , so up the dale we went , I had blue sky and bright sun I had white cloud I had gray cloud I had black cloud I had damp roads I had wet roads I had standing water I had running water I had deep water I had shallow water I had light rain I had heavy rain I even had Bl---- HAIL STONE , with the exception of wind fog and snow I think most tastes were catered for , but hay ho it is SUMMER

Ye Funky D we do have some top scenery on the door step that was Semer Water and Ribblehead , from my place 20 mins and your in to some of Yorkshire's finest and now with the DT I am looking forward to having a look at some of it from some greener surroundings just need to get some maps out and see what lanes can and cant be used , I have ridden them dales many many times over the years but now as I ride on the big bike I am looking at the areas with new eyes all the time looking and wondering where this or that lane goes to ,puts a whole new look to the place , but still love the big bike it was bought for two up touring when the wife could get on to it but now she has mobility problems and cant get on it any more I keep thinking I should sell it but we have such memories of it doing the south of France Scotland and the Isle of Man on it , and still every time I go out on it I come home and say no I will hang on a bit longer even though it is just not the same on my own with out her in doors sat on the back , but that feel good factor it gives me is priceless , the DT is Funn with a capital F but the Pan is home SWEET home

You need to get to Squires Cafe this September Eddie, they reckon it's biggest 2 stroke meet up in the country, 3 day event over at Sherbourne in Elmet. I'd be up there myself this year but its a fair mission from Devon. They do a good rideout each day too

Ye crap summer Gadg but nothing we can do about that but at least there is no hose pipe ban and we can was the bike when we get back home , and ye I love the colour of the pan but it is hard to touch up if you get a scratch , and it is the best I have had at what it was made for, long distance without any stress ,longest we ever did in the day was Paris to home in Ripon North Yorks two up with every thing and the kitchen sink as woman do when traveling light (light mmmmm,)brill but when I get on it now after being out on the DT it feels oh so big and heavy but then once on the road I soon feel at home as you start to flow and cover the miles far more nimble and relaxed than a bike of its size and weight have a right to do , and the left foot feels redundant no need to dance on the gear pedal just get it in to top and ride the power no power band just pure grunt all the way , only down side no noise , how can a company that made one of the best sounding bikes of all time the Honda 6 race bikes make some thing that sounds like a Pan when riding it, it sounds like a bloody sowing machine
