Jesus they are expensive new. I'd go for a full Athena system for less than 200 personally.

Yeah, I might be going for the athena aswell..

I already have a DEP silencer but they should fit the athena xpanny

Also, if you dont take care of the DEP xpanny with autosol and clean it now and then it's gonna rust, and since it's so thin, it can easily rust holes in it... Seen some naughty pics of it :D

Its the washing thats the important thing. Dont let it get dirty and leave it. If you keep it clean and dry it wont rust. You need 3 things for rust.

Water
Oxygen
metal

Eliminate the Water and you'll be ok. Yeah autosol will definitly help but cleanliness is the key. You keep the bike in a garage?

Yeah plus I think they might even perform a bit better
A guy I spoke with on the german forum told me he had tried out Derestricted Stock exhaust, DEP, Restricted Gianelli and Athena
He said Athena gave most power, and were fastest.. :)

Another guy there is gonna test the athena too, still wanna hear the results from him too before I order one

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8jWLeeE7FA
this guy has full athena , no other mods (maybe 240 jet)

"In te first wheelie it's 2nd gear, then the front wheel went down and I put 3 rd gear and itr went up again." what he said in one of the comments xD

Cheers lads for your help, ordered a DEP in the end before seeing all this, aw well, guess it a look better than stock ;) but yeah bikes kept in a shed and also has a really good cover over it as well :)

but yeah energized recommended auto sol through pm as well so deffo gonna get some, as ive only heard about the stuff today what does it actually do, gives a good layer to prevent it from rusting and is easier to get rid of it with it, am i right?? lol

Noob

DEP is the way forward mate. You won't regret it.

Makes the bike stand out so much. Especially when your bike is SM'd :D Please get some photos up :D

Hello lads, the DeP xpanny is in today but they havnt got rubber pipe bit until thursday, Is it a biggy to have with using the whole dep system as ive never had one for a RE standard exhaust with my DEP silencer, dont know if to just fit the expansion chamber today and then get the rubber pipe thursday when its in??

If you could get back to me asap that a be great, like isn't there a tight'ish fit without it as there sure is how i got it now?? (RE standard and DEP silencer)

I noticed an increase in performance and sound with the rubber pipe. It's only small though but worth having. 2 strokes rely on exhaust back pressure so one might say it's quite essential

As for keeping the pipe in good conditions. Clean it as much as you can and use autosol like said. Maguires is a good metal polish i found in halfords, expensive but really works well. The most important thing is clean though.
