I know right ? I'll get a pic of dans when he comes round ,it only goes to 10 ,I'm asking coz if people have th clocks that only go to 9.5/10 then a lot peeps would only take it up to th red instead of using the extra thou revs

Never knew about this, got the RE so never had a rev counter, therefore after looking at one Google image for a dtr speedo ive never ridden it over 9k :/ Does anyone know what the RE would have if it did have one please?? ive got the digital clocks so would be so good to know if i can take it higher
Ay so how-comes some start at 9k and others at 10.5 on the speedo, because of different stock barrels, restrictions etc?? Or I wonder if they all start at 10.5 really and just Yamaha changed it after putting in all the restrictions etc??

Or anyone can think of a way of finding out?? ;)
yes mate. Mine struggles to get to even 9K. When It does it won't rev very much after it. Especially in the higher gears. Not sure in the lower ones. So rev away mate. Won't be doing much damage lol.
?? It's ok for two strokes to rev highly. That's what they're designed to do. Not doing so is more dangerous than doing so. Especially if you use thick two stroke like I do. You'll just build up **** loads of carbon deposits. I recently bought the vapor stealth. Lovely bit of kit. Just made up some nice brackets for it to be mounted to the yoke as well. Lovely :D
mines permanently abused off road and bouncing off the rev limiter all the time as long as they get rebuilt well and warmed up properly they can take one hell of a hiding, and for hours at a time
