Compression question

Does anyone know what the compression rating is for a 3bn head. As I'm going to use a tester tonight. If the compression is about correct does that mean that there shouldn't be a problem in the top end causing a severe lack of power? Or do other factors come into this? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Not from experience but I read on another forum when someone swapped their 3bn for a 3mb head they went from 95 to 105 psi.

so

3BN head should be 95psi based on that. Should be in the haynes manual

Yeah at 78 I'd definitly strip. One other quick way to check. Chucke some 2 stroke down the spark plug hole ( only a little) and get the compression tester in a do a quick check. the oil wil fill the gaps around the rings and brng the compressions up for a couple of kicks.
