Smokey since rebuild

After rebuilding the dt once again due to a piston going messy on me, which i upload a picture tomorrow, I rebuilt it, using ****ty aftermarket gasket and when lubing the piston up, I didn't use 2 stroke as I was to lazy to get off my ass, I used 4 stroke lawn mower oil which had been sat outside for a bit without a lid on, started fine, it's smokey and it like splutters and bogs all thought the gearing Til you reach 6th and you just have to cruise at a **** speed, I tried flushing it out today by putting some petrol into the barrel and kicking it over to clean it out, not sure if it did much, but I'm gonna buy a new plug in the morning and see if it's any better, thanks guys, call me retarded, just needed to get the bike running to get to work on

Sounds like a mistake that could well cost you. The problem is that the 4 stroke oil is designed to remain where as the 2 stroke is made to burn. The petrol wont help much either as its made to run in petrol and still not burn. Id definitly have the barrel off and clean as much as you can away. Use genuine or athena top end gasket set and some 2 stroke this time :P

Best of luck
