hey guys,

just a little usure so i thought i would ask,

taken off the stock pipe, and given the "big one" exhaust a good looking over and checking fittings.

my queations are... bolting the front end manifiold attachment, the expansion pipe seems to just slide over this and fix the two springs, but it doesent seem like that tighter fit...... is that correct

and simular when fitting the end can to the expansion pipe... do i just push them togther as hard as i can? sliding the expansion tube inside the end can?

also i recived two very flimsy metel compond rings any idead what they are for??? i can add the pics if needed......

Get some pics up of what you mean, im not 100% sure what you mean. The silencer to expansion seal is not vital and is made using one of the rubber joining tubes that slides over the gap althought some people say the metal spring type things that keep it tight are rubbish and you're better off with a hose clamp on each side. I've used innertube wrapped around and hose clamps before.

The seal at the manifold end is important. The springs will hold it in place but it needs a fresh exhaust gasket and to be tightened using the exhaust studs and nuts to the correct torque setting.
