What do you mean are the brakes bad ?

The DT 125 RE has weaker brakes than the DTX. atleast on the front. Maybe the tdr also has the better brakes like the dtx ^^ i didnt think the RE brakes was bad, But i felt a change when i got the dtx brakes.

You should be able to brake properly lol xD

compared to the brembo brakes on my tdr these are like trying to stop by putting your foot on the floor haha, tdr has a 320mm disc tho so i expect it to be better

the dtre has new brake pads in the front but they dont seem to do much, i mean i havent had a chance to properly look over the bike yet anyway so something could be wrong

Nah probably need stiffening up using maybe 15w fork oil, 20w max, unless your forks are leaking in which case you'll need to replace the seals, look in the manual for oil specifications.

think ive got 15w or 20w in there at the moment, just feels like theres nothing in there they are so bouncy, also since getting the front brake on tdr repaired it feels so sharp! :D

Depends how bouncy you mean?

I mean compared to my Aprilia, yes the DT is bouncy. But no bouncier than my previous DT.

No idea weather they have different setups or not. Just RE ones are silver. X's are black.

my tdr forks are ridiculous, touch the break and i feel like im doing a stoppie o.O

first ride on the re today, nearly smashed it up after some guy stopped in the middle of the road, locked up the back and front brake didnt do much so had to squeeze through the gap, dont think you could have fit a piece of paper between us!

Hahaha, my brakes on my bike aren't that bad in fairness. hooning up the a30 in london and came to some lights that just changed when I was hitting almost 90.. had to slam on the anchors sharpish and endoed cos I was going so fast. didn't think my bike was capable let alone the brakes.. lol

MATE!!! Same thing happened to me a little while back!

I wasn't paying attention when the car in front stopped and I nearly wrote off into the back. Bike tank slapped and I managed to squeaze between the car and the kerb, whilst still slapping!

Fúcking deadly. Can't wait for the upgraded brakes. much needed!

i thought that was it when i saw the car stopped, still amazed i didnt hit it!

if i can find another set of tdr forks and caliper i can put on my spare tdr wheels, dont fancy the hassle of trying to make them fit

Or just DTX Forks and caliper. Not cheap to do all this mind. Worth it though.
