Black fluid from exhaust
Permalink

I fitted the new exhaust two weeks ago, did a test ride, then checked the plug. The plug was fine ( brand new plug ), so assumed all was well. Slowly I have noticed more and more black fluid coming from the exhaust of the bike, do yesterday I decided to take a look. I removed the exhaust and noticed it was saturated with this black fluid at the expansion chamber end also... I then checked the plug, that has gone black also, I am hoping it is just incorrect mixture as the problem. Any ideas as to further diagnostic tests/things I can do to identify the problem?

Yeah I get a lot of smoke, think I have found the problem tho. The air filter full of grease, the housing is full of dirt... So think that there is not enough air going in... So will update when put back Togther all cleaned.

Also worried that the mix is incorrect so when I have out the bike back Togther I'm gonna take it to be tested and checked by a pro. Get it all running correct. (and also look to see if it needs rejeting)

Probably too much two stroke oil. And that the exhaust gasket isn't fitted? Did you install a new exhaust gasket when you put the new pipe on?

Ok .... Phew .... Good news, the bike still starts and seems to run better. Ha it idling in the garden for 20 mins, and no sign of the black stuff appearing... Gonna eat my KFC and go for a test ride. :)
