04 Bikes 1D01 RE Loom is exactly the same as the 1D02 2005 RE, and therefore the same as the DTX, btw Calum, the Spanish bike is the same as the one made for the UK.
Also the Calipers were the same all the way through the range of DTR, DTRE differing from the DTX due to the fact the DTX had a fook off disc, different size front wheel, and needed twin pot calipers,

Well I re- wrapped Coasties 2003 DTR loom for him, and from what I can remember that also is the same as the 2004/5 RE loom. eccept that the CDI is different, and sits behind the oil bottle
So if the CDI's are both the same it's the same loom.

If you're happy it's all kosher Wozz, then call his bluff mate, let him take it to his mate that works at Yamaha, he'll have all the same info parts wise , that you have, I do hope though that you can recognise the CDI you sent him, as it would be an ideal way to swap a duff CDI for a decent one
There are lots of mismatch parts that they fazed out. For example, the calipers on my bike are the same as a DTR even though it is an RE.
What Year did this loom come off?
I know there's some mismatch between specific parts from the years '04 to '05. Also did the loom come off a Spanish bike? Like mine is made in spain unlike my previous DT
Trust me. The caliper on later models are different. I went to Yammy dealership said it was an 05 RE and he gave me pads that didn't fit. I told him and he said Ahh must be 04RE
Fúck knows mate. All I know is that I had to go back cause the git gave me the wrong brake pads lmao. Couldn't take the DT cause it had no fronter. LOL.

cals right bout the caliper n tht the rear on the re i done up n sold was different, not 100% if it might of been taken from a different year bike?
hanging bracket is different aswell
if i wer u wozz id get him to sens ya pics as proof they dont fit sounds likw hes tryin to mug u off m8
I think NEV has shown it there though. Mine doesn't need two spacers. Just the brake caliper and another on the other side. What was the braking like on that?

The rear calipers did differ between the 1D01 2004 DTR and the 1D02 2005 DTRE,THE 1D02 DTRE had the same rear caliper as the 2005 DTX.
Nah my mate has sorted me out a trade scanned microfiche partslist, Here Cal you'll love this bit

Don't worry I've been in the same situations loads of times..
Best was when somewhere said their 'mechanic' said that the springs didn't fit their 206 because the springs were off a petrol and theirs was a diesel - the suspension components are IDENTICAL and the engine weights are even the same (give or take 5 / 10kg). I even explained this several times but I would have had better communication with a wall. What annoys me the most it's rarely 'can you help me this doesn't seem to fit' it's always 'it doesn't fit give me my money back I don't want to return it you are wrong I am right etc etc'
Funnily enough in this exact instances it is also a friend that apparently knows everything, I've had this most times it's almost never been the buyer that knows what they are on about.

According to this, it wasn't an RE till 2005
I thought that was right. The Re was 05 onwards but some were on 54 plates as that ran til march.
Tellin ya Calluminium, the codes and model names didn't nessesarily run true so to speak, I can't show you on here cos of no picture rule, and plus the codes only go to 1992 that I can find at the minute but a typical example is of the older bikes being either a DT125R or a DT125E
4DK-000101 VIN TO 4DK-002000 VIN, YEAR 1991 MODEL CODE 4DJ1 MODEL NAME DT125R'91 4DK-002101 VIN TO 4DK-006000 VIN YEAR 1991 MODEL CODE 4DK1 MODEL NAME DT125E'91 4DK-006101 VIN YEAR 1992 MODEL CODE 4DJ2 MODEL NAME DT125R'92 4DK-009101 VIN YEAR 1992 MODEL CODE 4DK2 MODEL NAME DT125E'92
It's alright. I'm obviously mistaken. I thought I admitted that up above. I'm not particularly knowledgeable about the DT to be fair. Just learning as I go.
You've only got to look at your signiture to see that you know alot about DT's. I mean your DT is amazing!
Haha I know exactly what you mean, by any chance do you type out a well thought detailed informative reply only to get one or two sentences along the lines of 'I'm not having it' without must justification of why?
