Had a look at a 90 3ME3 bike and the Red plastics on that was a Raspberry Red (00GH) might be able to get NOS parts but you'd be paying for the nose for them I reckon. Possibly from Yambits or Yuniparts maybe?

Yamaha order numbers:-

HEADLAMP COWLING PLASTIC 3BN-W2834-50-00 (RASPBERRY RED)
REAR FENDER 3BN-21611-30-00 (RASPBERRY RED)
FRONT FENDER 3BN-21511-D0-00 (RASPBERRY RED)
FRONT DISC PLASTIC GUARD 1LN-25715-00-00 (CHAPPY RED)
FRONT CALIPER COVER 3BN-25716-00-00 (CHAPPY RED)
FUEL TANK 3DD-24110-00-GH (RASPBERRY RED)
SEAT 3BN-24731-00-00 (CHAPPY RED)
L/H TANK SCOOP 3BN-2137W-30-00 (RASPBERRY RED)
R/H TANK SCOOP 3BN-2137X-30-00 (RASPBERRY RED)
L/H REAR PANEL 3BN-21711-30-00 (RASPBERRY RED)
R/H REAR PANEL 3BN-21721-30-98 (LOW GLOSS BLACK/RED)

That should about cover everything I reckon.

Hi,

I'm building up an 89 DT200R. Was hoping that I could get some advice. I recently found out that you can fit the DT125R plastics to the DT200 with no mods. A mate did it and the bike looks pretty great - more modern yzish. I checked around on the net and found some nice motards in a youtube clip from clubdtr in Portugal. That got me thinking I might go all out and build a DT200R motard. One of the bikes I saw has red radiator shrouds. I've noticed a few bikes on this forum with red shrouds as well. Would anyone happen to know where I might be able to get a new set of red shrouds?

Cheers

as for brand new red shrouds i dont think there's any wear on the market making red ones your best bet would be to paint them

Hi Toy,

At the moment the bike is completely dismantled and the frame and some other parts are at the powder coaters. I have an old photo where u can just make it out in the trailer. I've got a brand new near complete set of sky blue plastics like you see in the photo for it but I want a different colour. If I can't get the red shrouds I was thinking all black or all white plastics. I'm having the frame powder coated matt black.

Yeah a mate ordered some of them. They are good quality and the guy is good to deal with. Parts came through quickly. I wouldn't mind doing that KTM 1 piece rear fender/guards and a Polysport light as well.

It's been a good bike mainly used for fishing trips and a bit of farm work. Reliable as anything. Just needs better suspension. I'm thinking Suzuki RMX250 front forks and seeing how easy a WR200 swing arm / shock / linkages will go on the back.

Aye a useful piece of kit for out there, an old mate of mine lives out in Queensland and has a farm there, him and his lad both have decent enduro bikes to go into the bush with, I can see the onus of going premix too, as theres a big chance a split pipe, stones damaging oil bottles etc, even just running out of 2t oil could be hazardous if theres not a petrol station for a hundred miles or so, nah every time you put petrol into the tank, it's good to have the knowledge it's got the right amount of 2t oil, already in there.

Yeah I took the injector pump off it. Normally run synthetic 40:1. Seems to go well. I also run a hotter plug - BR8ES instead of 9ES. Doesn't foul at all at slow speed now. Only problem with the bike is it can overheat in slow heavy going. Heavy sand, steep hill climbs on hot days, that sort of thing. Mate put a few electric fans on the radiators on his, says it made a difference.

Aye probably canibalise something off another bike, or maybe look at Kenlowe fans. Have you thought about banging an Iridium plug in? they are a decent plug, last much longer and can go to a hotter plug with them too.
