Warm it up for a few mins then take it slow and go up and down the gears when your riding for about 5-10 mins!

normally let it tick over for 5 mins. gives you time to nip round and check your lights/indicators/brake lights/tyres etc and check for any leaks....then pootle along for 5 mins before giving it beans biggrin

once you get used to it. sitting warming it up you can tell when shes ready to go by the exhaust note its a bit groggy to start with like us in the morning then it clears its throat an your off.
about 4 to 5 mins on average then take an easy ride  up to around  6000rpm for a further 4 or 5  mins matey

I just ride it when it runs ok off choke, then rag the bollocks off it when it revs properly, if it's cold it won't rev anyway.

Lol. The standard carb doesn't let you rev properly from cold anyway.

Cheers guys I'll do that, first mornig iv rode it and it's a bit cold at half 5!
Do you have to warm them up every time you go out, even if it's been left for an hour in garage then go back out on it?

I'd say if you need the choke to have to start it, then yes warm it up first.

If i'm warming my DRZ up, i usually use baby oil first just so it gets me in the mood, then i light the candles and play a bit of James Brown, and then i'm ready to warm her up
