Out of interest, what was the colour of the plug? as lean running engines will kill plugs, I have/am running 5 bikes, and a car on Iridium at the minute, and not one has let me down yet, touch wood.

well if you've got a dep xpanny id maybe upjet if needs be, 32:1 is a pretty safe fual:oil ratio to use, could be abit smokey but you know it has oil then

as for running in engines, ignore anything i have to say

Around 30-1 is good for running a bike in, but the bike shops/garages I use have all reccomended 40-1, for afterwards. I run 40-1, which works out 25ml per litre of fuel.

I put this up in Tuning, 2t oil thread other day, have a butchers then decide yourself, but bear in mind it was written a few years ago, before fancy low ash oils were developed.

I'd keep with the jet you have in at the min personally, still do the plug chops mind. Bang an Iridium plug into it too if you can.

Bear in mind keep a spare normal plug on you for a while if you try irridium. My bike did not like it one bit, killed the plug after 110 miles and opinion on them seems to be a straight 50/50 split on whoever i ask lol.

Try it out see how it goes is all i say :)
