No ideas yet to be honest Harry, bought two chassis ready for testing, only £20 a piece, i got the choice of 110 cc auto or dt125 engine, although i do have a proper 100cc kart - just need something to do in the garage haha!

Edit: For the exhaust i could probably use something like this as a base

That is only if the engine would run good enough with it on.

Alright lads,

Have any of you ever made a shifter kart with a dt125 engine, if so how did it perform, was it fast? if any of these are yes do you have any pictures.
i bought a go kart and thinking of using one of my spare engines on one for abit of fun.

I've had the same plan for ages - always been busy with other stuff to even think about starting it :(

Think the exhaust would be pretty difficult though, how are you going to mount it? or getting a custom one made? Not as easy as a 4 stroke engine

Expansion chambers are seriously fine tuned, you need one that is specifically designed for the DT engine otherwise it won't run properly at all

Bearing in mind the silencer isn't important (although will need one) could probably mount up a bracket for it depending on where the engine sat although it would look funny as hell

Fun project either way

This is what you want in your cart.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rotax-max-senior-engine-06-barrel-fitted-Rotax-TKM-OTK-Biland-Pro-kart-/321005841737?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Other_Vehicle_Parts_Accessories_ET&hash=item4abd706d49

Or use an RS125 engine. Since they're made by rotax. Who make Go cart engines.

RAPID!

You seen it on ebay last week harry :)
I'd go with a rotax/RS125 engine, but i don't have lots of money to spend lol

It was on a french car forum - I think sax p or 106 owners but yeah he probably lobbed it on ebay lol

Just getting the wheels spinning with a sequential gearbox - would be immense!
