Powder coating in the south.

Hey I've been quoted 165 for shot blasting my frame and swing arm and then powder coating those two but also my pet tank. Thought it could be a bit risky shot blasting the tank?? This is quite a good price right? They said they do 3coats I think it's primer, powder then something like laquer. Called Auora in aldershot if anyone's interested. Also do you guys do anything about the frame number, is it still vissable after the coat?

As long as you're happy. I wouldn't say it's a rip off. It could cost you that in postage to send it all away to be done.

Are you keeping the bike? If so why does the frame number matter too much. It'll be coated. But it'll still be there. I don't think Ive ever checked the frame number on a bike before. Most can just do a HPI check before buying. That'll tell you whether or not it's been stolen.

The frame number will still be there. So if you ever do have a piccy buyer you can say you can peel back the powder coat provided they will buy it when it all checks through ok.
