suzuki rmz 450 or yamaha wr 450 f ?

So i have two guys wanting to sell me their bikes, One Suzuki rmz 450, And one Yamaha WR 450 F . Any thoughts on what i should pick ?
 
The WR 450 F has lights so i could register it and make it road legal later if i wanted too, And because of the lights it wont draw as much attention when im going on roads without a license plate.

I dont really see any reason why not to pick the WR450F, It looks pretty nice too i think ^^

anyone got any opinions ? :)

Id say the wr will be better all round as the rm will be a full on mc bike! Ive got limited experience tho so im not 100%! Buuuut im a Suzuki guy and the rm looks sooo much better!

Rmz are great bikes!! Depending on the year! I've known rmz to sh!t themself because the gearbox has gone on them!

I too think the wr will be better all rounder, and I like the look of it, and its a Yamaha , after 3 years with my dt I kinda trust Yamaha to have done a great job on the wr too !

I had 2nd gear go twice on my rm 125 and i had one of my rm 80 gearboxes go completly so i can confirm that they have **** gearboxes.

Hmmm, I've heard differently about the RMZ's. Apparently they're a bit weak on power. I'd go for the WR.

yeah it's a shame!! because there lovely bikes to ride!! i had 3rd an.2nd go on one i was riding

MY mate had a wr450 road legal ,I rode it before its an epic bike pretty tamied for a 450.


He now has a ktm 540 or something , and said the ktm does alot of the riding for you , and the yam was alot harder to ride. But he does alot of greenlaing

Ohh okay ^^. Im gonna go have a look at it tomorrow, got the money for the DT on thursday. So im gonna have a test ride with it before i buy it, And from the vids ive seen on Youtube, they look pretty fast even tough they might not be the fastest of the 450s.

So turned out the WR was in decent condition, A bit of beauty faults but ill get that sorted out during the winter, It handled good and was good to ride,

but it wasnt as fast as the CRF i tried earlier, but i only took it for a test drive so it was still cold, That might be the reason why it wasnt as quick. Gonna upload a picture later ;)

Dont think they will be as quick as the CRF anyway mate, them CRF's are absolute beasts!

Don't CRFs require stupid amount of maintenance? Like piston changes every 1500 miles or am I thinking of another bke

 Sounds like you're thinking of KTM's! Hondas are tanks an can just live forever!! KTM's require a hell of a lot of maintenance!!

It's definitely a 450 honda supermoto / enduro I'm thinking of can't remember exactly which

Looks very nice bud that's my next bike if I ever sell the DT, that will be a long way off though
