Just wondering if anyone knows if you could fit an electric start to a 98 dt125? if so how hard is it to do an what do i need plus the cost of it all? bikes in the shop atm getting all it's work done to get it fit for the road. Now I don't mind kicking the bike but it's just times when it's goning to be left outside during college from 9-5 in the winter an I don't want it being a pig to start on the kick! in work it's not bad because it can go in the hanger but college are arse holes an won't let bikes park in the work shop : (

Just click on user details and it's one of the top ones.
Yeah. Or are you intending to do an engine rebuild? Might just e easier to buy an RE lump. You can take the kickstart out of your engine and put it in the RE engine.
It can be done. If you look underneath your bike you'll see a slot for it to go. You'd need to drill holes and wire it all up. It's a lot of work and would cost quite a bit. I'm not looking forward to the day my leccy motor goes.
You feel very manly when you kickstart a bike! it's like yeah!! I just started that!! haha in work I have to hand swing one of the airplanes because it don't have a starter motor! that gives you the same sort of feeling : D just looked at the thread then it looks near enough done to me, an I'll get some of them on order! what model are your forks from??

It's far from finished yet. I've got those RS125 wheels to fit properly. I've got an aprilia four pot front caliper to fit. Aprilia dual pot rear caliper to fit. And need to remake a bracket for my vapor stealth.
