Hi all does a dep pipe fail mot?

mats selling me one soon hopefully and i dont want to buy it then have to pay to get a standard exhaust for the bike its LOUD haha

I believe the mounting points are different between the r and re. Make sure it fits!

It shouldn't do. It's the silencer that quiets things down. Worse case scenario you'll need to repal the silencer. Couple of quid for loft insulation should do the trick.

If its too loud then it might.

I MOT'd mine with the front frame mount not connected. No problems. DEP will pass an mot, i cant see why people might think they wouldnt? As far as the RE goes, im not sure how the emissions regulations work but i can see it ever causing a problem for an mot.

Nah mine went through no probs, if I'm not mistaken, if a pipe says not for road use, or a track only pipe on it they don't go through, but I know mates that put a sticker over it, that solves the problem there.

never had to start a bike for an mot..so as long as theres no leaks drippin from any wher it will be fine

yeah engine running for the lights to work ? or maybe thats just my bikes with crappy batteries lol

All the mot testers I know run the bike wile checking horn and lights on dtrs u have to have it runing to check the headlight haha

Are the batteries different on the dtr? I would have thought so since they don't need to power a starter.

So my question is if you wire the lights in like that surely you'll want to uprate the battery.

The DTR batteries are different than the DTX not sure on the rateing etc though
