Passed mod 2 lads, with two minors, good 26 mile ride back home, was on a crappy restricted cbr125, ragged it back sensibly ;) kept up with the hornets majority of the time ;)
So happy though, shame I'm sitting on the bus, all geared up and can't ride mine as its not running right :/
Ah well, :D
Thanks lads, So happy but its worn me out lol, I'm F'd ;) yeah get it sorted both of ya, especially if your under 21 as you only really got till the 18th January before the system gets even worse :)
Cheers matey, if you get it done before the 18th of January your be able to ride anything as long as if its restricted to 33bhp, (lot of people remove restriction after getting the certificate mind ;), You Would be restricted to 33 for two years and then after that your allowed to ride anything :D
After the 18th if you dont pass mind i'm not 100% sure but i think its if you pass after the 18th your be restricted to 33bhp until your 21, and even then I think you may have to do another test at 21, not too sure mind, but then there will be no MOD 1, in the long run, if your on the road now and your an alright rider and you've got the money to spend for lessons and tests and confident your pass 1st time round, get them sorted before the 18th, your obviously lose the loser plates and following that you should be able to get cheaper insurance and obviously your be able to also insure anything as long as you've got the money to do so.
Yes to anyone else try and get get mod 2 done before January if you can before all this new loads of different tests and stuff comes in
Note - has to be mod 2 if you have mod 1 complete when the change happens then you will just be fed into the new system or something it's difficult to tell until it actually happens
Thats a question to all the full license lads on here, how much does your insurance normally go up by when you take out pillion cover soon after you pass your test?? (so that you can take people on the back )
It's them cleverly twisting it to get them out of **** I can't remember how exactly. Basically if someone gets hurt on the back they can end up suing your own insurance company as you injured them. By offering pillion cover they are technically getting themselves out of being out of pocket by insuring themselves in such cases.
It's something like that anyway there will be further information on it somewhere. Your pillion will be insured anyway with you if you crash or with someone else if they crash into you.
Don't worry about it, it's why insurance company's normally just give it out free with the cover to make it sound like they are doing you a favor but in reality just covering their own backs.
