So yeah, go to go to work this morning, having some problems getting my key in. No bother sometimes it's just a bit iffy, so this van turns up in my car park takes one look at me and hooks it out of there and lets someone out by the entrance.
"Hold on me ol' mucker" i say, "this looks mightily odd if i do say so"
Check the steering lock closely.
"Bollocks."
"Bastards!"
So my ignition is completely wankered, the van is now sitting across the road on the street, some chav goon is on the far corner of the road, hood up texting his facebooks and smoking.
Moron doesn't realise my flats have a front entrance i guess, ninjar'd a pic without him seeing me.
No problem, i try to arrange a mate with his own van so we can dissapear the bike of my own volition to a happy place where i can fix said douchebaggery but no dice so i say ****it, lets tamper with the ignition so i can at least ride it.
****ers have even bent the mounting points....and one of the bolts holding the ignition on.
So yeah, ****ed the ignition up, got the key stuck in the "ON" position, reconnected to the loom and off i go.
KNOBCHEESES BENT MY £100 HANDLEBARS TOO!!
I've walked ****ing miles today
quick edit: the bit with the huge gouge out of it, that's the headstock right? pissed cause i had that powdercoated and now i have to repair/replace it -.-

i was going to say those yokes looked mint. Looked being the past tense. Same thing happened to my yokes. Just ground it away. I would love to do that to their face.
You little effing piece of effing shizzle! Smash their face in so hard they'll be eating through a straw for the rest of their life!
fúckbags... looks like a trip to the engineers to brace your ignition mount. suppose it did its job though i'm gonna paint me bike pink and paint penises on it alá naathlaad, that'll stop the fúckers
You must be pissed ,Atleast you kept the bike mate. I know what its like to pay £120 to get it smashed up out the pound...laughable.
I think the most effective thing is to always put a disc lock on. This will stop peices of **** without a van in their tracks. If thats there van I cant understand why they didnt lift it in the back and go to the effort of breaking the lock?
Aye have two alarms the first was a Hawk alarm, a cracking alarm too, its the " please ride safely" audio you get every time you turn on the ignition, that made me get a Cyclone, but that said both very good alarms for a budget price.
mine? regular cleaning and a coating of ACF-50 keeps it looking shiney. The worst place for rusting is on the bend coming from the engine, keep that good you'll be ok.
Just that i'm going to be buying one but I want it to look brand new for as long as possible. If it rusts then there really is no point since my original spanny has been gutted. I'm really looking for the style

Go over it every so often with some Autosol and a buffer kid, good as new!
Fs, fricking pricks who ever tried, I guess at least it didn't get robbed, keep a real good eye on it now and for that van, it's likely for them to come back in the next couple of weeks or so
I know that you've got the cyclone v2 mate, so ill give you the instructions if you want on how to wire it fully up so that the immobiliser works etc, means if they did come back and try hot wiring it by either forcing the key ignition to on or fiddling with the ignition that the alarm would sound and immobilise the bike, another little security boost
Anyone for the RE/x with the v2 not fully wired up you can message me and I'll send over the instructions which I used to wire it up to mine, this may not work for all years as there's a possibility that the wiring will be different on different years but probably will as I got it off someone with a older dtx and I've got the RE, not making a thread though to prevent the wrong hands finding out how it's wired up :)
Yeah that'll be sweet reef if you can help me get that working. To be honest i'm gonna be off the road for a bit now, gonna redo the panels, fit the new wheels, fix the damage install the alarm and finish off the parts i want (handguards etc)
The timing is **** though as i have my theory on friday then was gonna do my DAS in a week and i was planning on doing the restoration after that so i'd have cash for it.
