Better in my opinion as for when you cut the battery lead, the alarm still goes off , due to voltage drop, whereas the 1st version didn't have this feature.
Bikes completely off the road and isn't anywhere near finished.
I won't bother for the moment worrying about the alarm. I'll just get it sorted first. Finally got some dough in so I've been buying new toys for it :D
Working out gear ratios for the sprockets since the rs wheel only comes with a 40 tooth rear sprocket which my DT wot pull lol. The one I had before was a 57. So only a small drop really lmao!
I don't see why the engine type should affect it at all, I'm assuming they use the same method of ignition timing the rest is mechanical an alarm shouldn't be able to tell the difference
Aye this is what I've had planned to do for a while now but I know mother would kill me trying to mock it up, especially that it would need to run off the mains and its outside lol
Well basically this bloke showed me how it's possible to make a cheap motion sensor alarm using a outside security light (light which turns on when detects movement) and an old stereo, using two plug sockets, one for the light and one for the stereo it's possible that they can be wired up together so that when the light detects movement rather than the light turning on it actually powers a stereo found in your room or somewhere so that it blares out, so you can wake up and beat the s*** out of the fookers haha
Looks well easy to do as well, it's just the wiring which would be tricky if your not too good with electrics, may just get our electrician in to do it for me at one stage
Good thing is that the because the light wouldn't emit if it detected someone they would just think it wasn't working, Also you can fit a switch so that the light can work if you need it on for some reason
it must be possible to wire the coil with a switch so the current went to a 2nd spark plug located inside your seat.... kick kick ZAAPP lol be a bítch when you forgot about it though
im gonna put an alarm on mine but im going to relocate my kill switch to underneath the clocks as mine isnt part of the throttle housing. hopefully that slows the ****s down enough to spill there 8 pints al over the pavement ha

old enough to remember air cooled dts and had one !
Not having the bike with me does anyone know if there's enough room to put a motorbike chain (£60-80 jobby with quite hefty links) round the front of the dt frame??? Planning to buy another chain and lock with another ground anchor if it will work, or maybe do you put one of those chains elsewhere on the frame, if so let us know how??
Or if you can't please let me know and ill probably just get two xena disc locks first to boost my security, front will be the bigger one of the two, 10mm locking pin and rear xena disc lock (6mm so that it fits onto the rear disc)
been so long since i last saw it ;) but i swear there may be a bit of room for a chain to pass through near to the cyclinder head at the front of the frame, could be wrong, thats why I asked and put
"....or maybe do you put one of those chains elsewhere on the frame, if so let us know how??!"
