This was the reply I got from a bloke off clubdtr, see obviously as most people know because of the highly different frame used and different panels its impossible without a lot of modding to get a hpires fitted nicely and scooped up so well like the Rs, that's why after seeing that pic I'm really looking into it to see if it can be done, but if your saying the pics been edited to look like its a better fit.... That's what I'm guessing your saying, on the iPhone so can't see any shizzle by the seat mate
can
That is indeed one of the best fittings of the HPires rear end on a DTX. I donŽt know if the plastic was welded and then smoothed with some fiber glass filler and a lot of sand paper or if the three parts were simply "glued" with fiber glass and then smoothed. If it was me I would certainly consider the first option as a lot of we know that fiber glass sometimes has a tendency to crack...
But it is possible to apply the HPires rear end without major work, simply with slighly modifications in the rear end itself and welding two small steel pieces in the DTX frame. Then you came up with two side by side threads were the HPires piece will be bolted. You can then bolt the rest of it under the seat and in the end youŽll have a very rigid and well atached rear end and it will certainly not crack even in the most severe conditions.

You're best bet is to set fire to it, then while the subframe is hot, bend it all n **** so it fits, dont worry if the whole bike goes up in flames, just film it and send it to me
That custom RE/X looks well nice, where did you get the picture from?? See if I can find the owner of this and ask how he managed to get it looking so good on the newer model, I'd love that, gonna ask on club dtr now
here's 2 pic showing how well he modified it onto the newer model, PERFECT IMO, Ive sent him a PM as theres not much information about it in the actual thread
