So yeah bike is still acting up, only happens when wet when it's all dry the bike runs mostly fine. I think it's a carb problem, i tightened up the clips that hold the rubbers onto the carb and it's running better but still cuts out very briefly when the revs pick up, barely use a quarter throttle and it's fine now. I sprayed a ton of WD40 over the carb while idling and no increase/decrease in revs so do i need to strip it down? Blkocked jets maybe?

Have this video just because you're awesome

Yeah pretty much all 2 strokes smoke a lot when cold! would advise you to clean all your carb including jets, also when did you last change/ check your filter?

the airbox filter? never lol, shall add that to the list, cleaned out the jets etc about 6 months ago as they got clogged then.

Would you suggest cleaning the airbox filter or just replacing?

Just replace it mate, unless you have all the correct stuff to clean it, but just easier to replace go on ebay most places that do it sell them for about £12 including a spark plug so not a bad price! take a pic of yeah air filter lover to see what it looks like if you've never changed it! haha

aight, i'll take a pic of the air filter, i think it is still the standard one but i think Bradders would have cleaned it if it needed it when he did work to my bike back in the summer. Either way a fresh one should help, i always carry like 2 spare spark plugs with me though in case but can't say no to a freebie :P

Sounds like an electrical fault to me mate. Make sure no water is getting into the ignition coil!

Check to make sure no water is getting onto any split cable bu I'd check the ignition coil first! That second video is so addictive to watch lmao!

Possible faulty ignition coil / Spark plug issue spark plug cap or high tension lead shortening check both of these are in good nick and are dry / Fuel & air mixture fault

but...how? it's under the ****ing tank lol. You would think you'd have to submerge the bike to get the coil wet lol. Alright i'll spray the coil to smeggery with WD40 tomoz lol. See what happens

Mine does this when I get to 6-7k revs. Changed the plug for an iridium one and got a new ht cap and it seems to have solved the issue

Mate had one look and said it's 99% the coil. Personally i agree so get a new one on there. I changed my plug and it's still doing it when wet so waiting for the new one to come through.

And nad it's right under the frame in the middle lol

Got to be electrical , carb cant tell if it's pi--ing down , but air filters are important on 2 smokers so I am told by a mate that has been Trialing 2 st for years and is competitive at it , he says to use proper filter oil as well , don't know what others on here use ?
