I want to replace the clutch in my 2003 dtr with ebc plates and springs seeing as its done 25000 miles . Has anyone tried these and do the ebc plates have marks on them to line them up correctly in the basket and do you still use the damper ring thanks.
Those dt clutches are seriously robust. If it is still working fine then i wouldnt bother replacing them. Good luck finding something as damn good quality as those dt ones! Although yes ebc is good.
Be interesting though. I wouldnt mind replacing my clutch as its such an easy thing to do!
I cant see why it matters if it doesnt. Should be the same though..
Theres a lot of clutch chatter now and is starting to slip a little when the band kicks in. I could just change the worn parts for original replacements but wanted to use ebc parts as I upgraded the clutch on my husky using ebc parts and I thought it was a good upgrade compared to the original parts.
cable needs a little bit of free play, if its too tightly adjusted the clutch will slip, do ya know how much the ebc plates will cost in total? im just curious lol
dont bother like sed below these oem clutches are good for really seeing the engine out unlest its been proper tourchured ...just take the springs out and put a another washer on the bolts....cheaper trhan a new set of stiffer springs and does same job
I have just finished fitting the ebc plates and springs and it feels so much better than before and well worth the £40 . I also found why my clutch was so noisy, it was the push rod adjuster nut which had come loose and was rattling about.

Either go OEM or ebc. But as already stated don't bother with the clutch as they really are built to well out live the engine lmao!
I know where you are coming from though on my 4dl bottom end i probably will buy EBC plates and springs just because. But it probably won't need it and thats from a 1993 bike.
