Glad you liked it mate. I used to have an RX 50. I used to love it cause all my mates had scooters and the RX had them every time. Wouldn't mind seeing some pics of the RX cause mines was stolen a long long time ago!

The SR 50 was the best out of the scooter range back then. Did it not used to be a mith that appilas would only take semi synthetic or something lol. Sure I was told that. Always liked aprilia that's when I Pass my test I will get the big svx 550 V twin I absouloutly love that machine.

No. The sr was terrible. Better than the speed fights and all that crap range.

The reason the sr was terrible was for one reason. Its one of the ONLY direct injection two stokes. But they never got it to work reliably. Fair play to aprilia for giving it a go! If they nailed then the world would be a totally different place! We wouldnt have seen the world turn four stroke :(

The best peds out the box were the original piaggio nrg MC2 liquid cooled.
Followed by the original yamaha aerox. Gilera runners were good as a 125 but too big as a 50.

My rs out the box smoked most tuned peds and all standard ones. Benefit of having gears i guess...

Lol!! I only had the crappy range as a comparison. I never owned any of the RS range even though I always wanted one. I fulfilled my dream though when I bought my NSR for £350 and sold her for £800 after I sorted it out. Really regret that sale cause I would lOved to have made it my new project. But I never used that bike as it was rubbish in the town centre. Was lovely on proper roads though.

ha that just shows how bad them 170 kits are as av raced a few of them rms and yzs and they have all been quicker off the mark but once av hit 4th gear av left them

nrg's are **** speed fights are **** typh's are ****. only ped worth it are runners tbh if you can get past the water pump leaking all the time lol

Cal gilly's are big but as soon as you wack a 70 bore on a 50 its sweet as =]

i loved my ts 50 XD used to smoke everything till i popped the head gasket and lose a head nut or 2

Trust me. Piaggio nrg mc2 extreme models are the shít. Has to be liquid cooled. 99% of the nrg's you may have seen were probably their air cooled counter part or the mc2 successor!

I agree the nrg was poo after this model. They ruined it. But out the box those original ones were wicked bikes.

Yeah i know gileras were good if you put a big bore on it. But thats my point. As a 50 they were too big. They needed and benefitted from the extra cc's.

My RM just left it for dead in every gear, i was flat out in 6th before he got out of 3rd probably. No DT 125 200 or 230 is ever going to live with a modern 2stroke 125 MX bike off the mark. They might flat out due to the gearing but they would have to catch u first.....

My RM125 had one tooth up on the front sprocket and did 78 flat out according to a properly set trailtec speedo, It would probably hit 78 then back to 0 before the DT would get flat out.....

Unless you tune the dt into a full blown MXer it aint going to happen.

You wouldn't want a 125 road bike to have that sort of power anyway. Would last like literally five minutes!

Na my RM had 4 piston kits in 4 years and never blew up once, all I did to it from new was lift the needle one clip so it did,nt fowl the plug when you were tickling it and one quarter turn out on the mixture screw for trail riding so it would tick over nice when you stop to open gates etc over the moors. You could potter about on it and still had the full 40 bhp topend. Mind you u could,nt hold it flat out as long as u could a DT I bet but I never tried.

Not missed much, they suck. I have a 50CC Typh pig standard. Lucky to get 40-45MPH out of it. I've had 50MPH on the clocks, but it's probably out by about 10%.

Typhoons are mint. Even standard. You just have to derestrict them.
