Or find a bolt or something that fits real nice and take it with you if no one can help out on here ,take some piccys when u do it aswell so you can write it up on here  ,mmmmmm a nice how to ...are you using bearings in the wheels or just like a stack of washers to spread the force out ???

sorry wrote this before everyone else answered haha ,  15mm is the bolt itself ,I would say 6-8mm

Gonna do it properly with bearings and stuff, so they spin freely. I'll do a write up too and maybe a package for a price and have the rod cut to proper length and the wheels for like £20 quid. From what I've seen it's cheaper than what R&G have them up for.

So the internal diameter of both is 6mm?

The hole that runs through the front and rear spindles? I'm buying a metre of threaded rod and need to know size.

Gonna knock up some home made fork/rear swingarm protectors. Ordered some funky skateboard wheels too!

Nah, my dads tool set of 40+ years consists of everything but. I'm not at home at the moment so can't measure but I'm shopping for threaded rod now so was hoping some kind soul would give it a quick measurement. I'm probably gonna go for M8?

Ill just order 6mm, threaded rod is 73p a metre so if it's wrong I'll just order more. If it's too small then I'll deal with it :)
