alright lads, have managed to get my bike running although it is pissing out white smoke and I don't want to just take it out and give it a blast especially with the tax and test running out, the bike has been stood for a while in the bad weather, will this even out as I run the bike or does it need work done? cheers again everyone!

Hello mate, could just be a build up of 2 stroke, mine does that sometimes, if it doesn't smell of 2 stroke it could be coolant gettin in the cylinder

Hhmmm. I hope you chucked oil down it if its been stood for a while!!!

Otherwise you'll just start it with no oil down the cylinder!

Oil down the cylinder won't do anything for the bearings ,all I do is kick it over with the ignition off a few times to spray everything inside with fresh mixture and get the gearbox oil circulated, otherwise you'll foul the plug with all the 2stroke above the piston

Some oil on start up is better than none!

Plus it's the cylinder you want to oil up. Gravity pulls the oil down. Off the cylinder walls and into the bottom end. The bottom end should have oil. But not the top.

Ok so if gravity oils the bottom ...what oils the top/small end bearing ? Fuel oil mix (intake charge) ..under pressure and atomised ,if it worked better from the top of the cyl then why dint they inject it there instead ..coz it just burns when the engines running and fouls the plug when it's not ....90% of what the oil lubes is under the piston hmm

I am just on about initial cold start up after months of no use. A little bit of two stroke directly down the barrel to sort it out.
