Most will say no don't bother. I wouldn't go without them.

If you don't like normal mirrors, which most on here don't, you can go for under handle bar ones.

I went for the dtre ones. They're retro. No I've got gone for bat wing ones lol.

Mirrors are for batty boys as proven by Cal, a nice shoulder check will offer you a better picture of whats behind you than a bit of mirror!

Lol. Yeah whilst you are looking behind a lot can change in front.

I've can do both. Nothing wrong with that. I check behind me. I look in the mirrors. At the end of the day I've got a full bike license to obtain. Of which they are going to want to see you use the correct technique for using mirrors. I'd rather get into a good habit so it's easier to pass my test.

I want them for the 50. I'm a knob without them!

I'll be doing mildly over the speed limit (since my speedos out) without looking behind me for police.

At least when I got Mirrors I check lol.

I look me behind me when I've got no mirrors than I do when I have them. It's actually quite deadly

does look better without mirrors but you simply cant see enough without them, i ride round london alot and without them id have to ride at a snails pace, lifesavers take too long at speeds so id personally always try and have my mirrors on and use them

Mirrors/ indicators no point on mine - they just get ripped off but I don't ride on the road that much.
One reason I don't have a road bike is the safety bit - I got fed up with having to have eyes up my 'arris looking for knobs that don't pay attention when they're driving.
I've got wife/kids/dog/mortgage now - can't afford to spend the rest of my life eating through a straw.

BTW there are some less 'uncool' mirrors out there

Always run mirrors on my sportsbikes as i personally think they look nice, but like ive said i will not run them on my DRZ as they are hideous, but again i dont ride in heavy traffic and theres no point looking in the mirrors for police as im on first name terms with 90% of them

Ok lets cut to the chase what is a life saver ??? it is a check on your BLIND SPOT not a check on what is behind you by the time you have done a full sweep look round you you are DEAD if you try and tell me you know what is behind you better without mirrors , in my book you have just changed your name to Wa-ker off road different story but on road like I have said before it's not a case of get a life its a case of keep the one you have new ones are not on general release with a well set up mirror you can check what is round you in the blink of an eye to turn your head round will take you seconds at 60mph you cover enough ground to land on that slab try it out watch your head cam shots at a point see how far the action has covered in the time it takes you to turn your head in both directions to know what is behind you ??

Bare in mind it depends on the bikes mirrors, the ones stock on the DRZ are absolutely useless and until i find a replacement which i like the look of i'll happily run w/o them

As much as they look pritty crap, I wouldn't go without them. I'm with Eddy on that one with amount of utter disgracefull drivers on the road I like to keep a close eye on them.

I'm not a good rider so I want mirrors.

But that said I have gone without them for a few weeks and I found that I did more lifesavers and actual awareness than I do with them. I suppose that's because I can have a quick glance at both mirrors to have a look where things are.
