The main earth connection is under the tank on one of the coil bolts, every earth in the loom is black and they are all connected to each other at various points in the loom.

What problem r u having ?

thanks for replying, i meant earths to the frame, i had some problems before with the ignition switch which i have now fixed i believe
but now when i start the bike i have not electrics, ie horn, indicators the switch works as ive tried continuity with a meter,
ive bypassed the ignition switch and everythink the bike still starts but no electrics,
before i fixed the problem with the ignition switch the electrics were working fine!
do you reckon it could be my battery as i believe it may be dodgey?

It could be, do a simple check of your battery with a volt meter. If you dont have a volt meter use an indicator or sidelight from your bike and stick it to your battery one wire to live the other to negative, if it lights up the battery is OK.

The probable cause is this, the amount of times I have fixed this fault on 99 to 03 DT125,s with the cdi on the oil tank is no ones. Ive had people pulling there hair out with it.

The link is not working so go to the thread in electrics "Common frustrating fault on 99 through 2003 dt125r" and it should fix the problem.

But yeah, also check the fuse first like Nev says. Also get your meter and stick it from the battery live with the battery disconected to the main red live coming from the loom at the ignition. If u get no continuity its defo the problem in the link i posted.

If anything lit up at the ignition end of the loom its not that as that red at the ignition powers everything up that works when the engine aint running eg indicators brake lights neutral light etc. The power feeds out of the ignition to the circuits via the brown.
