so i had thought that i fixed my bike but i havent! when i started the bike before it didnt have the electrics side of the bike wired up(brown and red wire from ignition wernt together) but it ran! and i got overlly hyped about it!
today i went to put it the freshly charged battery and start it
wired up the ignition and what not, it wouldnt start! no suffient spark! i then disconnected the red and brown igniton wires and it ran fine! eh i dont know what to do! please help ):
its gota be a dodgy connection some where maybe something your no seeing how standard is the loom ? is it the right loom for the right year engine and bike are all plugs and conectors original or has someone chopped in some where .
Someone did mess with it to make it work off road but they left all connections there Starting it it works fine And the electrics work fine when the ignition side of ignitions switch Is disconnected But together it ent having it!
The red from the loom into the ignition just sends battery power to the ignition, the brown powers all the circuits that work without the engine running from the ignition back into the loom. The blue/red powers the lights with the engine running and the blue just sends power to the lights switch. Without seeing the bike in front of me its hard to help.
Yeah, the top 2 of the 4 off the top of my head, i would need to look at the wiring diagram to say properly. You know when its right as the neutral light will go off when u put it in gear. If it ok now just leave it.
