Think Sean asked you brad for both him and me in trying to make up a bracket to fit a Brembo dtx calliper on RE/R forks ;)

Did you look into doing that mate??

That would be pretty good I'd say, better front brake on the dtr/re and will save time for us owners which have both the enduro and dtx sm setups, when swapping over

some of you lads on here know that i work for an engineering firm and iv been thinking bout trying to get my boss to start making bits for the dt and today he said he would providing theres enough interest and a market for them.

so im not sure what to start doin first what do you guys think?

i was thinking maybe small simple stuff first like axles pivot bolts engine mounts rear caliper guards. baring cups for usd conversions ect

any ideas would be great!

could start a trader section on here to start selling stuff. it will all be done through the company so i personally wont take any payments ect itll all be done through AGC SALES same name we sell our model plane engines under so u know ur money will be safe ect no getting done over n robbed!

fire away lads!

for the dtx caliper ralzy?

would take a bit of time to do that and get it drawn up made and tested to make sure it all fits perfect ect plus id need a dtx caliper to try it with lol if one comes up cheap enough id think about it m8y. but like i said maybe more simple stuff first. direct replacement parts that look tasty annodized alloy bits n stainless parts ect.

what else would u like made for your dts??

I know it wouldn`t be a simple task doing that. I was thinking more for the DTR than the DTX ive only robbed the front end. .... For now that is lol

Have to have a think matey i`m sure you will get some good feedback from the others on this though. I think its a cracking idea I just hope you get enough demand so it takes off kinda feeling annodized alloy bits n stainless parts mmmmm smilesmilesmile

yea u knows it ralzy! : D

would be wkd if this does take off we would be like the only company to make aftrr market bits as none of the big companys do only mx bikes. tje dt was left out in all that apart from dep pipes other exhaust co's and hpires for plastics thts about it really..

Custom power valve end caps that have the tuning fork logo engraved into them would be worth it.

Could get a bit for those. Or have YPVS engraved into them. YPVS one side and the tuning forks the other.

It's much easier with the forks and handlebars in situ Bradders, make sure the calipers bled,so your brakes are fully working, locate the caliper and pads onto the disc, then cable tie the lever back to the bars, the pads are then held  solid onto the disc that way, and you can measure up holes to your hearts content mate.

Pfft for CNC? Not really. Once it's setup you can just let it run and watch the dollar roll in!

The Tunning forks I could see being a little bit hard but the YPVS shouldn't be. Would look wicked mate.

I'd pay good money for just the pully cap to be done mate. Easily £30 for just ONE cap. Bespoke cap for my DTR with what it should say on there. I mean the KMX do it. So why did Yamaha stop it. Thy used to love advertising the YPVS

yea man engravin is easy but i wouldnt get the detail and sharp inner edges cos we could only use a tiny ball nose slot drill to do it and it would leave it rounded .outer edges would be fine . can be done but it wouldnt match that older cover perfectly. unless it was laser etched but thats bumping up the cost a fair bit unless we made hundreds of them lol
ill get a pic of the engraving weve done so far to show ya.

It would only have to follow the same style IMO. Not the actual font. If it was a good size and had the V covering the rest like the older style then I would definitely have one. It would also have to match the older style thickness wise. Just good quality basically.

But I REALLY do think they would sell like hot cakes on this forum and eBay.

Also a sound worthwhile investment is jack up kits. They sell for £££ on eBay and lots of people on here buy them. I got mine from supersteve, cheers mate, a while back when he was doing them and they were excellent. Could easily sell those.

ah ****ttt sonn, NEV dont you have the bracket dimensions matey, If i remember rightly you had a bracket made up so that you dont have to change over the front calliper when wanting to go from enduro to supermoto (sm to enduro)??

Looking at that engraving Bradders, I dare say a few personal key fobs with the dtr forum/website thingy, would go down a treat mate, at a fiver a go.
Infact I could do with a dog tag with 'BANDIT' on it, and my phone number for my mutt too mate, the ones you get done at car boots, only last ten minutes before the engraving wears away.

the pv caps are a wkd idea but more on about the left servo side? coz the other side is pretty much hidden by the exhaust. lol
can do both sides no probs. that engraving of the tuning forks looks awesom but thats gonna be about 300 lines of programme just for that! lol we dont use cam at out place itll all have to be done maually. the engraving for the words laser on that rocker cover is about 80-100 lines lol .
if thats what ppl really want ill do it gonna take a bit of time tho.
res caps for master cylinders is no probs could do that in about an hour or so inc programming and making jig blocks ect. again engraving on that will take some time can do lines across it in some sort of lil design jus for a prototype?
as for keyrings ill prob avoid tht tbh if i asked my boss i wanna key rings hed jus laugh his bollocks off n id get it ripped outta me by the other lads lol

also can them annodised in different colours no probs
iv been lookin at rear caliper mounts and could prob do billet replacement ones for standard brakes as i can use an original for dimensions. would you lot be interested in thos or jus caliper conversion mounts?

so res caps and pv covers anything else ud like to see??

what about frame protectors? I know for one that it pisses me off seeing worn away frame where my boots are. Reckon you could do something with that?

Either way, dog bones, direct replacement caliper carrier at the rear, resevoir tops and fork covers and pv cap would be awesome!
