Imported Frame with V5 & Reg plate
Permalink

Does anyone know if your able to keep all or part of the registration details of an imported frame and logbook as I have one from the Isle Of Man

Will DVLA appoint me a completely new set of reg details or part of the old details remain when its comes to re-registering the bike ?

I don`t like their V5 equivelents, as their ones is a booklet kinda strange to ours

£310 which is what I slapped in there a day or two before it ended i didn`t mind paying tbh as its in really good condition linkage bolt fell out so it had been looked after. Some people want a whole bike for that but I`ve got every single piece to build it I just needed a good frame tbh it doesn`t even need painting. Talking of frames there is a geezer by the name of cathy cathy on fleabay everyone should stay away from him hes as dodgy as they come

Ok thanks Isle of Man isn`t part of the European Union its a self governing dependency of the British Crown but the I.O.M is deemed to be part of the Fiscal territory of the UK So in there is a chance I shouldn`t need to complete a VAT411 form for registrering it

If its anything like imports ive registered before you will get a new age related plate with a UK logbook stating its an import with the prefix of your local vro, the vro will also want to inspect the bike. You wont be allowed to keep any of the MAN plate. Im not sure if u will have to pay the 50 first registration fee with it only being from there but you will also need an mot insurance and proof the import duty has been paid on the bike, thats if the Isle is not in the EU. Does it come as part of the UK if it does u wont need to pay duty but inspection insurance and mot u will defo need..

I didnt think you would, wouldn't even put the forms in till the bike is back together and ready to go to save any hassle so if they want to inspect they can.
