Hyosung gt125r mot fail - dodgy sales advert
Permalink

ok so was gona or may buy this just to tinker with .

but his story or replys sound dodgy .

says it faild mot but then says he can not find the v5 ?  how did it fail a mot with no v5 thats the first part of a mot to check v5 against bike .

hyeres the advert and some replys i got

Hyosung gt125r mot fail
£500

For sale is my hyosung gt125r. Selling due to mot fail and cbt running out on the 10th of April also it is out of tax.
The bike failed on rear tyre, front indicator, horn, front brake and headlight all easily sorted.
Any questions feel free to call £500 sorry no offers

http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/hyosung-gt125r-mot-fail/1014056557

........................................................................................................................................................................................

I asked about history and if it had any along with v5  ect ect

he replys with

he has lost the v5 and has no history or old mot.s ????  also says it only faild mot today and states that

...................................................................................................................................................

(you don't need a v5 for any vehicle to be mot'd You need it to tax it)
Hi I can't find the v5 and don't have any previous mot's etc
The bike runs ok could do with the carbs probably cleaning.
If you want to come and look at the bike that's absolutely
Fine and I could ride it to
.............................................................................................................................................

but  he has now found the green slip only and will ride the bike to me if intrested .

red flags  and lights are flashing in my mind . I smell maybe a right of or cat ? bike

he soon put me of buying

Poo bikes anyway. Not sure why you'd waste good money on one.

Cant really expect much for £500. Not asking alot.

yeah not the best bikes  but I could see a fast 1 week clean up and could easy mot it where I take them  along with  touching up any damage or marks or hide with stickers lol  then resell with in days

so if no engine work was needed and once with a mot and maybe tax  could have easy made 3-500  profit .

I look at it like this but one £500 sell it for 1000 use that 1000 buy say a mint dtr  = you got the £1000 bike for half the price if you see what I mean
and in most cases I never buy a bike unless I know 100% I can sell it fast for what I paid and can say in over 20 years have never lost a penny on a bike .

I know most bike mot places  over here  and you would not get throu the door with out a v5 ..

and he could have the bike if it is any cat  again some of these bikes that are suposed to have gone to a breakers never arive again have known guys who own garages and some how  had yards full of bikes that should have gone to breakers or be scrapped but instead are sold for field use or to clueless buyers .

and not willing to mpay for a hpi even if it is cheap .

the sellers answers just didnt add up to me

one min he said it faild mot today but did not have the fail sheet .

said he had no v5 then later said oh I found the green slip .

could not tell me how the damage happend to the lock.

and one min says the bike runs great then says  ho there is some problems but thats only cus it needs carbs cleaning .
