so ive taken my engine to them as a last resort .i had the bore opened to 2.00 mm and had the head matched to suit but it seized within 10 minutes. the guy at elderfields said the place i took it to probably did the bore to tight (sutton rebore) .so now ive opted to have the whole engine rebuilt by proffesionals as im not doing it again myself .this way if it goes wrong its down to them . i dont know if i should try to cliam money back from them or not?
yeh i havebt personaly used norfe, but i would reccomend him, he has helped me out with loads of advice when i was stripping mine down

i blew my dt up ... but i fixed it.... Then i crashed it.... but i didnt fix it right and 2 scouser's come in the middle of the night and left me with a working bike
yea thought about it but its cheaper here £70 full rebuild and i took it to them directly ,and ive blown it up many times 1st time when i bought the bike ran it empty of 2t,had it rebored by a guy off ebay it then later snapped a ring and melted it to the piston due to it hitting the exhaust port ,then i put another piston in and it did it again as didnt know what the original problem was ,found the problem had it rebored but i used an old clip to hold the gudgeeon in and that flew off and did so much damage it had to go from 1.00mm to 2.00 ,this time ive taken it to elderfields and he says that sutton rebore have done the bore to tight causing it to heat seize hes also told me to go premix as its not worth having the oil pump on he gets 2 of these engines a week usually because of this problem
premix is good way to go Its not uncommon like you say for the pumps to fail. I haven`t got a personally removed mine proberly due to the fact, I`ve never had a pump fail on any of my bikes that have the autolube pumps & I suppose the convienience not that its a big deal to add. But If any of my bikes did suffer this then I would most certainly get rid of the pump and go premix
Stillbroke pm me your email I'll send you a pre-mix ratio program, you can use on desktop. I don't think the link thread I put up to the file works anymore
mines there at the moment, youre the guy he mentioned to me earlier then who'd just brought his engine in haha! He's doing a full engine rebuild for me cos I've got a new job so can afford the work :)
Premix would be no good for me, I don't know about you Stillbroke. I'll use my bike to and from work 6 days a week when it's back on the road so premixing will be a time consuming nightmare. I'll just double check the pump I've got works :)
Yeah but not being funny its common sense when your auto lube fails. Two strokes smoke hard. So One day if you start your bike up and theres no smoke theres obviously something amiss no?

hahah such a small world! mines just come back and yea pre mixing would be a nightmare so im going to rebuild the pump its easy enough and havethe parts ,slightly worried though as the bikes on its last bore and is now on 2.5 really need nevs opinion on it!
