Someone has one on BCF I think, or another 2-stroke 500CC looks similar. Apparently it's always breaking down and unreliable. :|

I guess these would be good as race bikes, but on a day-to-day basis, I doubt they'll be that good.

 Not at all.

NEV uploaded an article on here about a YZ125 with a tuning company installing an Athena 144 kit. They managed to push the power to match that of a 250 two stroke. Out of something half the displacement. And they got 100 hours of use out of it on a track before it went pop. And it wasn't even the cylinder that went. A stone got lodged in the chain and smashed into the crank case. So I don't see how that is unreliable.

Then there is my bike. Still be thrashed about even though i'm running the same bore after 17k miles.

I've kept the rev limiter restriction mate. So i can pin mine everywhere and know its not actually causing harm. Still does and indicated 80mph. Which is plenty for a small 125. Gets there fast too.

If you restrict the bike the way it was designed it will out live a derestricted 4 stroke. And be faster.

I bet i could make it going bang tonight. But thats not the point.

I just warm the bike up. Make sure oils are all topped up. Rag it through the back lines. Ride softly through the streets. Occasional rag. Then rag back through the lanes. I don't rag it all the time. Of course it will blow if you rag it absolutely everywhere. No engine will survivd that unless it is completely gutless.

Everything in moderation.

Well, my DT is going to go pop soon. I rag it ruthlessly everywhere.

So does Toy, I think his only gone through one piston. I keep the RPMs low some times, but mainly on country lanes I'm just ruthless, going sick on the straights and bends. Ha, I'll probably be the next one to crash their bike.

Will be selling the DT soon. Too many chavs eyeing it up all the time. Can't go anywhere without heads turning, even with the RPM's low people turn around and look. It's like I'm a celebrity and now people are asking "Who is he?" trying to find where I live and stuff. Cunts want to nick my bike.

Fook the chavs I would never sell bike because of fear. And if they go to all the trouble getting past all my security then fair play to them. As the bike is fully insured thats what insurance is for right?.
But if I catch up with them then its bally up time done it before & will do it again. ...
