well after 3.5 months- i have finally managed to rebuild the bike i bought for a little winter project :p
she was in poor state when i got, missing lots of parts, knackered engine, black swingarm, bald tyres, knackered exhaust, panels all scratched/damaged, lights damaged, wiring all wrong, plus plenty more...to be honest was more than i was expecting really.
also replaced clutch cable, throttle cable, different carb, new airfilter, new airbox cover(old one had holes drilled in), new snorkel(missing)new relay for indicators, new sidestand, brakes bled....got receipts for everyhting...of course all hidden away from the wife hahaha- she would go mental if she knew!!! also the spare engine i have with all bits needed to rebuild it-new piston/rebored barrel, new conrod kit, bearings, seals, gaskets etc
been good couple of months messing about and learned some things i had forgot when i last owned a road legal dt125r back in early 90's!!
tempted to take on another project if i can find for decent price? probably one with knackered engine so i can use my spare!...just dont tell the wife!
