The future's orange :D

KTM EXC 530-F 2009

Swapped the zx6r + £200 for this little animal, really wasn't getting on with the ninja and it pissed me off that I spent loads on a bike that I was enjoying lol

Not currently road registered, hopefully shouldn't be too much of a ball ache, applied for the paper work and need to get a rear light and tyre for MOT.

Also had a full engine rebuild in december 2012 due to a recall so literally brand new engine lol and it's only on 50 hours/1300 miles!

Has some epic torque lol!

Nath, wouldn't have needed a rebuild I doubt, just a precautionary thing I imagine. They do need looking after but honestly I don't think they're as bad as they're made out to be, just a case of changing the oil every so often and checking the valve clearance. Still keeping the rmx though for off road abuse plus I'd miss having a 2t lol

does anyone know where I can hpi it off the frame number? It's got a certificate of authenticity from ktm, receipts etc, just worries me having a bike worth that much with no log book lol. Although he did give me one that was done 5 months ago, just want to be sure for piece of mind lol

No it hasn't...only thing I was thinking if he bought it on finance or something, it could be logged against the frame number. I did get an hpi check from him though so...

He did track days apparently.

Guy seems pretty genuine though, has KTM headed receipts, certificate of authenticity, and more receipts lol so I doubt it stolen. Can't wait to go for a decent ride on a nice sunny day!

All means jack. I don't know what was wrong with the Ninja you had, but you just bought a right ball ache.

Nine times out of ten sellers spout out any bollocks to get a sale.

If that's been raced, then Nath will be correct, it'll need a rebuild before the whole thing goes pop.

These kinds of supermotos are high maintenance and go pop quite regularly.

Well 50 hours use over 3 years + a full engine rebuild half a year ago, can't get much better sounds so smooth lol! Gonna change the oil and filters anyway though I think.

Soon man, want to get this thing on the road ASAP! I wish I still worked part time sometimes, more riding time ftw haha

TBH I think I'd believe him saying it's just track days looking at the tyres don't look like they've been pushed to the limit. I know what these bikes are like, it's healthy and there's only so much wear you can do to a brand new engine in 5 months tbh! It may have been raced previous to rebuild but I don't care, as that was essentially a different engine.

BTW when I said it has a rebuild it wasn't just some chav saying it's been rebuilt, got a dealership receipt dated 06/12/12.

I doubt it will have been maintained well, usually race bikes are ragged the hell out of, even on a cold engine. hmm
