Got my mod 2 lessons starting around the end óf may then module 2 in mid june!
Stopped riding the DT125r offroad and keeping it clean ready for sale! :)
What are the pro's and con's of having a DRZ or a WR..
I need something that can get me to work ( i only live 4 miles from it lazy **** me)
And i need something that won't ****ing blow up every 3-4 months.
Also need something with a **** load of power ( Why i thought the WR wa better power wise )
And  i hear their valves tend to drop only con i've heard reccently :(

I shall post pics up of the DT125r i'm selling in a few weeks time!

Im torn at the mo to buy an r6 within walking distance from mine or a zx6 but a long train mission to blackpool to collect dont know what im getting yet knowing me the easiest option the r6 ,, back on the yams once more

Check 2nd gear is ok if going for an R6, Trip, especially on the older models, it's a right pig to sort and can be an expensive jobby, engine out job on pre 2003 bikes.

Best 600 you'll get trips is a B1h until you get into the 2006+ models where the R6/Daytona take over!

The WR400 and WR426 are prone to dropping valves, "my mates dropped one years ago smashed the head to pieces fell down the bore smashed the bore and bent the rod all at 10mph, over a grands worth of damage" thats the perils of 4 banger competition bikes especially the old ones. The WR450 from 04 onward is when Yamaha started to get the WR right the 450 is more reliable if you look after it and it has a lecky start. The DRZ400S is bullet proof and will give you years of reliable service everyday if looked after.

KTM 400/450/525EXC is reliable if well looked after, my mate has an 03 525 that he bought new and its never been apart just serviced regular. I had an 06 525EXC never missed a beat.

Honestly have you ridden one? Yeah they look the ****ing bollocks but it's about as comfortable as being dragged behind it. Swear I got whiplash from riding over a rizla lol

Cousins just got a 04 R6, have to get a go on that soon!

i wouldnt fit on one pettys lad, they are designed for the track with stupid power, in all fairness i don't think i'll get another sportsbike in the near future, if i do it will be another 400, possibly a full power zx4r tho this time around

Anyway back to the original questions

DRZ400S heavy old reliable trail bike

WR400/426 unreliable "cheap for a reason" old enduro bikes, I can remember we used to laugh when we managed to get shot of them to some sucker back in the day.
