Knobbles or slicks?

What do you prefer?

Knobbley tyres or slicks? I know it depends on what kind of riding you do but typically, i tend to use 80% road and 20% off road tyres, there knobbley but give good road grip, they give me enough grip to sling my bike into the bends but also lets me slid in the wet.
So just wondering what do people tend to go for when buying new tyres?

Welcome to the forum

Knobblies seem to have very on/off traction at high speed nearly throwing me off the high side a couple of times and useless in the wet altho this maybe down to **** tyres, the enduro tyres ive always used are Vee Rubber. Slicks are in another league for smooth roads, lots more grip and last so much longer however dont take as much abuse such as riding over small sharp rocks on small back roads seem to cut into the soft rubber. Not to mention good slicks cost double what knobblies are. I'd say knobblies are fine unless all your riding involves high speed smooth roads then they just wear out far too quick

Personally i use slicks all the time unless im going to play in the mud, more suited to my riding.
