Weird problem.

So I was cruising along at 60 on a dual for about 10 mins. Bike wasnt being revved to death nor was it finding it difficult. All of a sudden I hear a squel from the gearbox area and consequently I now get a funny grinding squeling noise in 1st, 2nd and 6th? I was in 6th when cruising too.

It has gearbox oil, and was only rebuilt a month ago (new bearings etc) gearbox is original on 19k? Ill get a video when my camera is charged.

thats alot of oil to lose after just 2 changes, have a look at your output shaft seal and gear shift oil seal ,i know its been rebuilt but it wouldnt be the first time they got scuffed on the way in and their cheap and easy to replace from the outside.

shizz wait a minute does the bike smoke like a goodun?confuse

Yeah, 600ml.

I put the correct amount back in, I'll drain it next week and check it again. Weird cos the engine has been rebuild fully. The only thing not changed was the gearbox..

Should only smoke a good'un on a cold engine. If it smokes bad on a warm engine, running rich or the exhaust has all carbon in. Mine smoked the whole street out when I pinned it before I got the carbon out and repacked it, lol.
