Hey. My front lights and dash lights are blown when I rev my bike up. A specialist looked and said that I have a overvoltage problem. What could cause it?

Why not just bypass the stator and run off battery...easy mod to do.

A new regulator/rectifier is needed by the sounds of it

The specialist just installed alarm on the bike and I had question about the blown front lights and dash lights. Specialist just told me that the problem is overvoltage/overcharging but they just install alarms and deal more with cars.

Reasons as to why bulbs would repeatively blow.

Vibration failure. Vibrations due to the engine and frame may cause blubs blowing.

Intermittent earth.

Reduced voltage. Where a quartz halogen bulb is fitted the voltage to the bulb should be maintained or early failure of the bulb will occur.

Battery overcharge is cause by regulator faulty.
Battery wrony matched to electrical circuit
