Missing the DT that much now got my old pushbike out after years of not going on it lol
little lunch break and ill set off again, should do about 25 to 35 miles today, not too bad. been riding it all week and fook me have i got a sore arse but fook it ;)
little question too, how easy would it be to fit some half decent forks to it, with suspension obviously. Only suspension i got is on the seat lol ;) do all pushbike forks fit each other lol?? Never really modded a pushbike
lastly, new tires, for road use, any suggestions?? these are starting to split lol
what is everyone else getting up to then??
another 20 miles to go roughly ;)

See where your coming from and you never know i might look into getting sank good like a gt in the future, but at the min I want something which I can leave and know it probably wont get eyed up and robbed lol, fook it not gonna bother with the forks, too much hassle lol and really for what i want it for thinking about and what u said its not worth it, besides the dt WILL be home soon, save me money as most likely once its back it a be locked away for another few years lol
Still love this beasty push bike tho ;) its a good bit of fun in this weather whilst the DTs on 'HOLIDAY' lol :/

Best thing to do is to strip the forks down and measure the headstock internals. That way you know roughly what you have to play with. You'll need to know the legnth if the headstock and the internal diameter.

Thats great mate cheers, will do
and sean, cheers for advice mate too, but this bikes actually decent apart from not having any suspension at the min... Lightweight frame, hand built, amazing brakes which never needs touching, doesn't rust at all, had it for years and years and never had any real problems with it, professionally built with good tech...now a second hand bike priced under 100 will most likely be shabby lol, but cheers
You nobshine!! Just got the biggest erection in the past 4 days thinking I was gonna see your dt!! Fu.ck you reef!! Getting me all excited for nothing : (

not reading all comments but most susp forks will fit even if the stem is to long you put spacer rings on and screw buying a new mtb I also have my old one in the shed 10 years old one of the first with front disc and still in good condition althou not used for a long time .. I also used to do a min of 6 miles a day every day of the week and some times just ride for pure fun and be gone for 12 hours doing at most one night 60 miles round trip .
wish I still had the passion for cycleing not to mention the fitness it gave me .
heres my old cycle cost me £1200 around ten years ago

Not gonna lie, I'm seriously jealous of your surroundings. Those roads look like ****ing heaven to ride! More so on the NSR as I'm braver now and pin it everywhere and it feels lovely! I wanna live there :( Might have to come and see this DT for myself just to ride those roads!
Oh and while were on the subject of bikes. I used to own one of these f*cking things.. I hated it cos it was single speed for ramps! :(
Taha ;) cheers mate, yeah we got some proper nice country roads and villages close ;) those first few pics in this thread showing the long straight is so good to rag on the dt, one way you got the wind behind ya and right on the coast and it being so open easily took it off the clocks once or twice in the past ;)
Defiantly some nice bends and that down here if you go out a lil bit outta town tho, couple of greenlanes two
Glad your getting on with the NSR tho matey
Nice but single speed, fook that lol, wouldnt be able to deal with it... like speed too much ;) lol, can not wait to be be properly back on the road with my dt tho, cant frickin wait :)

Aye, I'm getting on with it but I'm aching for another DT. I love the supermoto look too much :(
Yeah single speed, I used to be a right tarmac terrorist on it. Used it up the skatepark tooooo many times, hence converting it to single speeds. Used to ride it an hour to work which I loved cos it would be a mile ride but I'd be stuntin' all over the place so would take me ages loll

Ill remember that mate for future reference cheers, its not too bad without any front suspension but ill look into it again once ive got the dt back and on the road looking sweet ;)
but nice man, same as that with riding like 6 miles plus each day back in the days and doing round trips, not 60 mind you madhead haha but use to do roughly 26 back in devon when i was young some months with a m8 or even by myself lol :)... always loved push bikin but its only these last couple of months i got back into it with the DT being off the road. Before the dt always use to be on my saracen bubba old school BMX but havent been on that since after it flew me off unexpectadly and broke my wrist after a race from town to a village up ill, with a taxi haha, I won tho so that was something lol ;) chain was stretched and came off doing about 30 with shorts and T but luckily just a broken wrist ;) but yeah looks fairly nice that pushbike mate

Good man, sell up and get another nice looking DT then!! taha good times :)
Went out on the pushbike again today. this time using the ultimate addon handlebar mount and case which i got for xmas, finally got round to using it with the iphone. Got it really for the DT but that's not on the road yet so chucked it on the pushbike for the time being.
pretty decent I must say.... good brackets and the case is strong and waterproof, phone still so easy to use even with it fully in the case. but yeah not really designed for recording but it doesn't actually do too bad. ill be using it more for gps on the dt and its easier to hear if someones tryin get hold of me
took a few vids but if anyone interested heres a couple merged into one, did a bit of editing as well hahaa and sound effect at the end ;) cracked up when i watched that part back lol
