hi i bought norf old bike which been modified im having problems when running you be going along for about 10 seconds and it will cut out then it can be a pain to start ive changed the coil plug cap, plug ,regulator, battery had the geny checked and carb cleaned if you got any ideas it would be helpful cheers dunc.
Mate firstly have you introduced yourself on the newbie section? Quite ride to just jump in without introducing yourself and start asking question, I know you don't mean no harm but some people are a bit touchy when it comes to them giving you the information then just going on your way

so is it doing this all the time everytime or just now and then ? and 10 sec is no real time or dustance to travel . so what is happening when it cuts out are you loseing any power like electrics lights is there any strange sounds when it cuts out splutters or farts . when it is hard to start is there still a good spark and all electrics work good ? any strong smell of fuel or signs of flooding .
need more info but you should first eliminate probles that could lead you to the real problem or cause .. check all the wireing for no lose wires or connections or breaks chack to make sure the ignition and cut outs are all ok along with side stand switch .. if all electrics are fine then move on to fuel system air filters carb mixtures .
let us know how you get on and if possible a little video of it running and then cutting out .

And yeah it is annoying. Cause 9/10 we all help someone then they just jog on. ESPECIALLY when te answer is probably in this forum somewhere. so i. Just comes down to lazyness. Could find the answer if they wanted to. But would rather have someone else figure it out for free.

i blew my dt up ... but i fixed it.... Then i crashed it.... but i didnt fix it right and 2 scouser's come in the middle of the night and left me with a working bike
