So we all know what a two stroke is. We all should know what a four stroke. And most of us the wankel engine. But who here has heard of the six stroke engine?
I just read an article about in the paper. Sounds like a mint idea. So we know that for every cycle of a two stroke engine there is one power stroke which also releases the gases. And in a four stroke engine there is 2 cycles for it to do its power stroke then release gases. Well apparently the six stroke engine has two power strokes!
And its not another gasolene power stroke. After the first cycle has been completed, so the power stroke, water is injected into the engine. Due to the high heats this evapourates and expands massively causing another powerstroke. Then the final cycle releases the gases.
Quite ingenius if its true. But i can't say my dt ever ran better on a blown head gasket. Hope its not a april fool joke that i've stumbled upon.
